District Honor Band Weekend A Success

Over 400 students participated in the South Central District Honor Band Clinic this weekend at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC.  One fourth of the participants came from Union County alone, and four of our own outstanding musicians from CATA were in the mix.  It was a tremendous weekend of music making, building friendships, and collaborating.  

The CATA band thanks clinicians Dr. Eric Harris, Mr. Keith James, Mr. Edd Powell, and Mr. Jocquin Fuller for the time and energy they invested into our students throughout the clinic.  We also thank clinic hosts Mr. Richard Holmes, Ms. Tammy Reyes, Mr. David Wortman, Mr. Brandon Meeks for their tireless efforts behind the scenes to make the weekend a smooth one.

Hats off to Makenna H., Kyle J., Michael J., and Jake D. for a job well done.  Best wishes to Makenna, Kyle, and Michael when they audition for the North Carolina All-State Honor Band in March.
