Central Academy BAND

Central Academy of Technology and Arts is home to over 800 high school students in Union County, North Carolina who have have chosen to focus their studies in one of six academies. The CATA band program is proud to offer students a traditional band experience within the academy setting complete with concert, marching and jazz ensembles that perform on a regular basis. 2014 Western Regional Honors Orchestra

Congratulations to Kyle Johnson and Michael Jeffries on earning placement in the 2014 Western Regional High School Honors Orchestra at Appalachian State University in February. Kyle and Michael are the first students in CATA history to audition for this ensemble and we are so proud to have them represent our school in the honors orchestra. Both musicians are eligible to be selected to perform in the North Carolina All State Honors Orchestra in November 2014.
