The band program
at Central Academy of Technology & Arts is excited to host a new summer
music day camp for middle school band students with TWO or THREE years of
experience playing in a school band program.
MUSIC WORKS is a four day summer music experience for Union County Public School students designed to build
musicianship and performance technique in a day camp setting. Campers will participate in full band
rehearsals, sectionals, small ensembles, and musicianship classes on a daily
basis. In addition, students will have time each day to build friendships with
their fellow campers through team building activities and games.
Camp tuition is
$100 per student. Tuition includes
music and materials, snacks, and a camp t-shirt. Students also have the option to take a private lesson from
a camp counselor during the week for an additional $15.
The week
culminates in a free concert for friends and family featuring performances by
the full concert band, small ensembles, and camp staff.
This year's camp enrollment is limited to 50 campers and registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
