Central Academy BAND

Central Academy of Technology and Arts is home to over 800 high school students in Union County, North Carolina who have have chosen to focus their studies in one of six academies. The CATA band program is proud to offer students a traditional band experience within the academy setting complete with concert, marching and jazz ensembles that perform on a regular basis. The CATA band program is under the direction of Mr. Craig Retzlaff - craig.retzlaff@ucps.k12.nc.us

Congratulations to all of our CATA musicians on their SUPERIOR performance today at MPA!!! All four adjudicators were extremely complimentary about their professionalism, technique, and musicality. We are SO VERY PROUD of all of our musicians and their continued success in the band program at CATA.
